Yamchops in Toronto and College St. West
We had a guest over for the Thanksgiving weekend: a 15 year old vegan.
She’s been a vegan for 2 years now and honestly, she is a total inspiration to me. Being quite strict with veganism, she even gave up ice-cream and cheese. And this girl loves dessert.
In honour of her visit, we went out for a late lunch to Yamchops on College Street.
We ordered 3 “pulled pork” bowls – I think it was jackfruit in BBQ sauce. Mum and I got the quinoa base and she got brown rice. It was so delicious and so filling. I was barely hungry even at dinner time.
The bowls we’re super tasty and quiet sour to be honest because almost everything in it was pickled. Even the avocados! Thoroughly enjoyed.
Then we as we were walking back to the car, Mum wanted to visit the grocery store across the street because it had a tiny nursery with beautiful plants and she loves plants.
That’s when I snapped these gorgeous pics of her. Isn’t she the sweetest?
The way her face lights up when she sees plants… It makes me love her so much. I’m so grateful that I get to witness her beauty, her delight, her innocence and her joy in these little moments. Thank you God for these small glimpses of your Love.
